Story Behind the Song

After reading The life and times of Alice B Toblis and reading about Paris in the early 1900s i wished i could be there in that time. i used to put a live webcam feed of des Champs Elysees sometimes. To be around all those artists would have wonderful.

What an awesome song...I love it. It's original, the instrumentation is great, and that horn and harmonica are great! The lyrics are unique and right on point with the music. Wow, this has hit potential

Lyrics

des Champs-Élysées

walking down Paris street I don't know what year in time
Gertrude Stein was talking to me while Alice trailed behind
telling me of roses as we passed Picassos flat
weeping women looked at me wearing a bright red hat
SHIFTING THROUGH SPACE AND TIME
FLYING DOWN DES CHAMPS ELYSEE

I woke up the next morning there were paintings on the wall
something was firmilliar i recognized them all
as i held the painter's brush and every stroke was real
painting with my eyes shut tight painting just by feel

SHIFTING THROUGH SPACE AND TIME
FLYING DOWN DES CHAMPS ELYSEE

i once lived in paris if only in a dream
sold my work on street corners in the city steam
the misty night and fantacy an my imagining
was like a real journey of remembering

SHIFTING THROUGH SPACE AND TIME
FLYING DOWN DES CHAMPS ELYSEE
