Song Description

this song tells a story, with feelings of birth and re birth, the music is like a slow rising conciuosness, rising up. the words are reflective, they ask questions about our lives , why we are here? how did we get so busy? where do we go when it's over?

Story Behind the Song

i wrote this song after a day of observing people in my home town. how busy we have all become, how wrapped up in daily life that it seems we don't realise that this is it ....now. that is all we have, and now determines how our tomorrow will be, and only we can determine our own response to this life, what we will do with each moment, how we will make each moment count.

Lyrics

v1
There?s a fire burning within every one of us
A fire that is eternal
And I walk the streets so I can feel like I?m a part of everything
And I see so many people reaching out
And I heard a voice??and she said

?please send me
something to ease the pain of living?

v2
and we look for comfort in a life
that has so many beginnings and so many endings
and in amongst all of that
somehow we still manage to destroy
and maybe it?s because we accept or give love when it comes our way
because it?s so innocent and and so timeless and so endless
maybe it?s like we think we don?t deserve any more

And he said
?oooh I know that there?s something more
than running around around around??
there?s something more to life???...

chorus
and there?s sunsets and hurricanes
written in stone
and when we fall we just get up again
and keep on running
and between sunsets and hurricanes
we?re building bridges
so we can all stand up again
and stop this running around.

v3
And we return again and again to the same place
Well the scenery is different
But somehow it?s all the same
And there are angels among us guiding our every move
If only we could see them
And we move from left to right
And everywhere inbetween
And somehow we lose sight of what it all means

I?m so afraid
This is my life
Don?t want to run away again??
No I don?t want to run.
