Lyrics

Chorus:
I'm looking for the future me
Afraid I'll wither on the vine
I'll nurture me so I can be
Delivered there as vintage wine

Verse:
In the darkened woods there the rustling leaves
Plot as thieves of my rising spine
The night touches down down on the thorny path
And on a splintered bridge of paradigms
My deluded mind runs barefoot,

Chorus:
Looking for the future me
Afraid I'll wither on the vine
I'll nurture me so I can be
Delivered there as vintage wine

Verse:
In an open field there a cold wind gusts
The swirling dust is mud on my tongue
A glow reaches out from the distant hills
And on the rocky tracts of the forever young
My curious mind runs barefoot,

Chorus
Bridge:
In this dance I step out of space and time
Into that dream with the Mexican hat
I won't languish like the waning moon
Through the years she's seen to that

Verse:
On a covered porch there a cool breeze blows
The sunset flows into a whisky glass
There's a light that shines like a torch from my eyes
And on the grassy knolls of childhood past
My understanding runs barefoot,

Chorus

You have a Bowie sound to your vocal, to me this was the most engaging element of the song for me, who doesn't love Bowie!
Nice job.

good players on the track. nice tempo. good chorus (;
looking for...)nice chord change there. lead vocal is good...some nice instrumental sections too

The strong point of this song is the originality of the thought-provoking lyrics. There are some very unique word pictures presented that couple the author's life journey with nature, which is really well-done. The instrumentation is good; I really like the instrumental section. It came on powerfully after that pregnant pause...well done. I liked the "barefoot" lyrics, and the bridge seemed quite creative as well. Keep up the good songwriting!

I like the mixture of the guitars and the style of the vocals. Seems like great kick back around the camp fire type of music. Next time I have a sip of whiskey I might kick back and take another listen to this one. All in all I think its a great song and I would like to hear more from this artist and will be checking out more of his work.

I like the sound of the drums and the keyboards.

good poetic lyrics on this mid/ up tempo folk rock track
quite dark and deadly in its style. liked the brief string solo
enjoyed

The vocals were very good. The strings in the background were a very nice touch. I liked the shaker in the chorus also. The nice soft guitar in the background was nice also.
