Song Description
My wife and I wrote this song quite a while back. Christey Grimsley was/is a Country Singer here in Omaha who was recording some demos of cover songs. We asked Christry if she'd be interested in trying one of our original songs, and she was all for it. I think she did a great job given that she hadn't sung original music, let alone recorded it! That early version is still here on Broadjam. Fast forward to today. I used Suno to create a cover version of my original production, downloaded the stems and tweaked the vocals, bass and guitar parts, then played/recorded the drums, added keyboard parts, and tweaked the production. Both Jane and I are happy with the result! For me, this is the only way to use Suno/AI... as an inspirational and/or collaborative tool.

Lyrics
Keep On Walkin
Christy Grimsley (Vocals AI-Enhanced), Jane Pietrantoni (Lyrics), Frank Pietrantoni (Keyboards, Music, Executive Producer/AI Operator)
You called me on the phone sayin' where has the time gone
Still believin' what we had would still be here, not gone
You left one night, went out of sight, but that was years ago
How could you think I'd still need you, did you think I wouldn't grow
The girl next door grew up that night
Made a pact to make it right
Got in the car, with my guitar
And drove away out of sight
I found a life for writing songs, for someone else to see
You're my inspiration, my walking memory
So just keep on walkin, life's been good without you
Just keep on walkin, 'cause I've no time for you
I drove so far and found the bar that let me play my songs
The boys went wild to see the child who could hold her own
Town after town I worked for pay, one guy followed me
In he'd walk, he talked the talk, but did the things he'd say
He walked me to my hotel room that night
He told me everything would be alright
Treated me in such a way
That made me feel brand new
And he's still here today
So why would I need you
So just keep on walkin' life's been good without you
Just keep on walkin, 'cause I've no time for you
Just keep on walkin, your girl next door's all grown up now
Just keep on walkin, this woman don't need you
I don't need you
You only talked the talk until the day, she came along
Then you walked out on me, singing her sweet song
Just keep on walkin, life's been good without you baby
Just keep on walkin, 'cause I've no time for you
Just keep on walkin, your girl next door's all grown up now
Just keep on walkin, this woman don't need you
