Song Description

Livin' life in a travel trailer and moving whenever the mood strikes.

Story Behind the Song

We were just having fun with our Bluegrass EP project of the same title when we came up with the idea of a free-wheeling lifestyle including a travel trailer and a lot of fun.

Playlists this song is on:

One neighbor has an airstream with two barking dogs
One across the way plays party music all night long
There's 15 pink flamingos, 10 slip and slides
6 barbeque pits fired up with ribs on the side

At the trailer park you get to know your neighbors all too well
When someone is in trouble they don't even have to yell
But the best thing about a trailer as far as I can tell
If you feel the need to move along
It's a house on wheels

We got a house on wheels
Yeah, a house on wheels
We can move it on down the hill (down the hill)
Hitch up the four wheel drive
And wave goodbye
It's a Hell of a deal
We got a house on wheels

Some call it a manufactured twister teaser
Me and my friends call it a honey pleaser
If it's not level the beer bottles roll
And bad weather causes the satellite to go

Gotta get away
Gotta pack up the still
Heard the cops a-coming
Saying "fire at will"
Not to worry
Got a house on wheels

Talk to exit:

Bubba! Watch the cinder block!
Grab those lawn chairs
Yes, we can take it with us
Here kitty kitty
