Feeling The Pain

Story Behind The Song

A group of artist in Chicago formed and decided to put this creation together with spoken word, a singer and with music. As the writer I read about 1000 articles and saw videos/ tv accounts of the story.I plan to call this piece, Tears Falling like Rain, but Feeling the Pain, fit the mood and emotions of a mother who lost her son and the anguish of all mothers who lost sons in urban violence or in wars. This story and tribute is not dated or no longer current but a fresh reminder that either we are a part of the problem or the solution. There is no middle grounds left.

Song Description

This Trayvon Martin Saga that grip the soul of millions and brought into the heart of the nation and the world wide audience was the work of social media and grass roots efforts for justice. There are laws on the books that need to be re-examined and this incident brought it to light. The Trayvon case keeps changing and where it ends is in the air. Hopefully the times are a changing and justice and due process prevail. This song started out as a poem, then spoken word, a singer and music.
