Song Description

A love song

Story Behind the Song

I was playing this song in the kitchen, Ellen was in the small family room singing a delightful vocal melody that fit the music much better than what I had. She wrote the lyric, I tweezed it and she sang it and Billy Engel and I added the back ground vocals to the chorus. I emptied the well on this one and it felt like months before I could start writing again.

Lyrics

Moon light in your eyes
Opalescent pools holding your dreams
Like a coveted prize
the promise of things to come
As we go on, Together

Your hand holding mine
trust the treasure gently offered
Leaving sad times behind
True love is waiting, anticipating our life, Together.

Chorus:
Together, we can make the dream come true, somehow we'll muddle through.
Together, solve the riddle, save the day, find our own way.

Instr.
verse;
Longing in the night, missing you so far away from me, only your voice is right.
A thread across the miles, drawing us as ever, Together.

Standing where the roads cross
Open to a world of choices
Some to take, others lost
Knowing we'll find our way
As long as we stay, Together.
Together

Chorus.
