Song DescriptionLost love
Story Behind the SongI had heard a sad story around the time of my 10 year high school reunion. Two class mates had special love and seemed to grow in the same direction. At some point, the young lady came to her man, telling him she met someone and would be with him. He was devastated. Soon after, she came back to him begging him to take her back, after finding her new man was cruel to her.
Our man was unable to, saying his heart was too broken to mend and her trust unworthy.
Lyrics
Like Autumn I'm returning to the place we used to meet.
We're two old friends, yet why pretend
This kiss too bitter sweet
I spun my stories of the sea
In sprays of salty air
When the tea was brewed,
Was love lingering there
Chorus:
I Still Remember You when Autumn winds begin to blow.
The melody it sings to me 's the tune we used to know
It's left a few things unresolved and bent my mind to do.
Now you know, I Still Remember You.
I Still Remember You.
There was no reply as we watched the passers by.
Drawing back to look at you, I guessed a reason why.
"Now the hour grows and I must leave,"
You said, "I can't delay.
I simply got to run, we'll meet again, one day."

Bridge
The day you left me standing there
The sky was lost in grey
There was nothing more to say,
You just turned and walked away.
Now inside I'm feeling strong
Standing on my own.
Now to look at you, I wonder which
Direction did you grow?
I watch you leave to weave your way
through a homeward crowd
Street lamps glow,shops are closing
As evening settles down.
Far away a freighter rides a high
and lonely sea.
There were times when loneliness
Washed over me.
Chorus:
I Still Remember You when Autumn winds begin to blow
The melody it sing's to me 's the tune
we used to know
It's left a few things unresolved and bent my mind to do.
Now you know I Still Remember You.
I Still Remember You
I Still Remember You
