Song Description

Twisted sister is about a boy who became a woman. She was miserable as a male and was teased by everyone. Her life changed when she switched gender and became what she knew she always was. A woman. It didn't bring the happiness she sought.

Story Behind the Song

There was the person in NYC in the Village circa 1963 who is a real person. She told me the story of her life and I wrote this song. She was a friend of Alice whom Bob Dylan sang about.

Broadjam Member Reviews

cool lyrics, good beat, good build, old school vibe but that's ok with me. interesting take on the gender bending/gay subject. nice backing vocals.

Lyrics

TWISTED SISTER
She was a woman in the body of a man,
Growing up she didn't understand,
She liked playing with military toys,
She got excited being ?round little boys.

chorus
Twisted sister tell me how does it feel,
You were once a mister, now you?re a sister, for real.
Tell me Tell me Tell me how does it feel.
Twisted sister does it feel real. Oh how does it feel

Tortured by growing pains,
Teenage horror and going insane
They sent her to Europe to get the job done,
Had beautiful daughter replacing a handsome son.

chorus
Twisted sister how does it make you feel
You were once a mister and now you?re a sister, for real.
Tell me Tell me Tell me how does it feel.
Twisted sister does it feel real Oh how does it feel

Now she?s headed down untrodden lanes
Rebuffed, rebuked, so little to gain,
Sky high seems to be the only way,
To make it through these long nights and day.

chorus
Twisted sister tell me how does it feel,
You were once a mister and now you?re a sister, for real.
Tell me Tell me Tell me how does it feel.
? To be a twisted sister how does it feel
Twisted sister tell me how does it feel,
You once were a mister, now you?re a sister, for real.
?.Tell me Tell me what?s on your mind
??Twisted sister can you find your own kind
Oh how does it feel you once were a mister and now you?re a sister for real
Tell me tell me tell me how does it feel
Twisted sister
Oh tell me how does it feel To be a twisted sister for real
