Lyrics

Sleep my child and peace attend thee, all through the night.
Guardian angels God will send thee, all through the night.

Soft the drowsy hours are creeping, Hill and Vale when slumber sleeping.
God his loving vigil keeping all through the night.

While the moon her watch is keeping all through the night.
While the weary world is sleeping all through the night

Through your dreams your swiftly stealing visions of delight revealing, sleepy time is so appealing
all through the night.

You my love a babe of wonder
all through the night.
Dreams you dream can't break from thunder,
all through the night.

Children's dreams can not be broken,
life is but a lovely token, sleep would, should be softly spoken, all through the night.

Beautiful rendition of a sweet lullaby folk song. Nice arrangement with a gentle touch. Ever so peaceful. Absolutely lovely. Now for a little shut-eye!

Very pleasant version of an old standard. I really enjoyed the backing vocal. The piano and synth. string accompaniment complemented the voices, and were mixed very well.

Although this is not my bag.... When it's good and this good......

A very peaceful lovely song. Arrangement is terrific. The melody is memorable. Lovely, soft, angelic voice. The orchestration gives it a more New Age feel than traditional folk but I wouldn't consider that to be an important point. No matter what style, I listen to the melody, if it is catchy and unique, and consider if the lyrics fit the feel of the melody. It works very well in this song.

Such a soothing piece and the vocal is just the right match. Particularly like the oohs at the end, they seemed soo right Nice job

Very gentle lullaby, with instrumentation a perfect match to the lyrics. Great vocals, which are complimented, rather than drowned out by the accompaniment of soft piano and strings. The melody is very pleasant and simplicity, I believe, is the key to a good lullaby, so well done to all involved in the making of this song!

Beautifully sung, a straightforward rendering of this old favourite.

The voice of an angel is singing this. Beautiful harmonies as well. I am a 60-year-old "baby" and this would send me into dreamland!
