Story Behind The Song
"Freedom" is a celebration of the joy that music brings into our lives. "Rising" stemmed from an impromptu jam on stage one night.
Song Description
Parts 2&3 of a 3 song album medley, the music begins with "Freedom", a high energy old school rock edged, funk/R&B with tenor sax melody, electric guitar solo at 1:23 and exciting interplay between sax, guitar and electric piano in the outro at 2:37.
From this jam we lead into a Hammond organ solo at 3:09 and then into "Rising" (at 4:27), a very funky bass driven instrumental with tenor sax and a James Brown-esque vibe.
Instrumentation:
Tenor sax
Electric piano and organ
Electric guitar
Bass
