Story Behind The Song
This is one of the first Christian songs I wrote when God took hold of my heart several years ago. After chasing my rock-n-roll star dreams for 20 years, I was at the end of my rope. Most of these words came to me in one writing session.
Song Description
A declaration of God's grace through Jesus Christ. It is not of works, but of faith, that we are saved.

Lyrics
Noone comes to the Father except by the Son.
Noone gets to Heaven for any work they've done.
Like a thief in the night He'll call His children home,
"Well done, My good and faithful, come sit here by My throne".
Don't be a ship in the night, lost and all at sea.
Just say the words, "Oh, Jesus, I believe!"
CHORUS
Saved by the blood, Saved by the blood,
Saved by the blood of the Lamb.
Saved by the blood, Saved by the blood,
Now I've got the keys to Heaven in my hand.
VERSE 2
For everyone who doesn't walk the straight and narrow road.
For all the sheep who have no shelter, hiding from the cold,
Put your faith in Jesus and wear the Holy Sword,
When Gabriel blows his horn you'll be a warrior of the Word,
Don't be a ship in the night, lost and all at sea.
Just say the words, "Oh, Jesus, I believe!"
CHORUS
