Story Behind The Song
I drove a beautiful young hippie girl to Stone Henge on the summer solstice gathering. We were expecting a peaceful gathering of people that were in tune with natures movements, only to find it was nothing more than a bunch of people concerned only with partying without any respect for the occasion or location.
We decided to leave them to it and found our own spirituality for the occasion far away from the madding crowd.
Song Description
Having taken a trip to Stone Henge on the Summer Solstice the alternative thinking character finds it dissapointing that the masses are not so spiritually enlightened as she hoped it would be. She therefore leaves the gathering and finds her own spiritual enlightenement simply by experiencing nature without any distraction from people.

Lyrics
Emily goes to Stone Henge, oh she gets there and then,
She turns and walks right away yeah.
She thought it was gonna be, something more like her scene,
On a mid summers morning.
But it dawned upon us all,
The stones were not what we were searching for.
It dawned upon us all, Avalon Sunrise.
Further away from the beat, of the drums on the street,
On a mid summers morning.
We chose our own company, laid in a pasture so green,
Feel the sun and she's warming.
Where it dawned upon us all,
The stones were not what we were searching for.
It dawned upon us all, Avalon Sunrise.
And it dawned upon us all,
Nobody really knew what they came here for.
It dawned upon us all, Avalon sunrise.
In her eyes, in her mind, in her eyes, see it shine.
