A World At Peace

Story Behind The Song

I saw a bumper sticker that said "I want a world in peace, not a world in pieces." That was the seed. I just wrote some music and filled out the lyrics.

Song Description

My hopeful vision for the world is one in which each individual chooses inner peace for him/herself and between him/herself and the immediate family, then the extended family, then neighbors and so on.

Lyrics

I see a world at peace, not a world in pieces
Not a soul in need do I see
A garden of green, a joy that never ceases.
I see a world at peace.

I see us all as one, undivided
Many voices joined in a single song:
An anthem of hope and we are reunited
I see us all as one.

Peace in my heart and in yours
A little peace within our families.
That?s where it starts, opening doors
Trading clashes for overtures.
So stand with me and say

I see a world at peace, not a world in pieces
Not a soul in need, do I see.
A garden of green, a joy that never ceases
I see a world at peace.
I see a world at peace.
I see a world at peace.
