Lyrics

Learn to fly (CAPO 3RD FRET)

D C G C
She never played much, with dolls & the girls
D C G C
She never feared, from that big city world
D C G C
She grew up fast, on those hot summer nights
D C G C D
And with her wings still young, she learned,? how to fly
C? G? C D
she learned, how to fly

She never wanted, to much from the world
She never asked, for diamonds or pearls
She never knew, when she looked in his eyes,
That she?d be the one, to learn,? how to cry.

She learned, how to cry.

But one day with no warning, the boy moved away,
What he left in her heart, just would not go away
Was it something she said, maybe something she?d done?
What could it have been, to make him steal,? her young heart & run

Why did he run

Because she never wanted, to much from his world
She never asked him, for diamonds or pearls
She never knew, when she looked in his eyes
He?d be the one,? to teach her,?. how to lie (lay )
She learned how to lie

~ B r e a k ~

Well the years slip on by, now the babies half grown
They?re doing alright, living together, alone
She don?t waist much time, thinking about him
There?s to much to be done, she?s just trying, to win

trying, to win

But now she doesn?t have to ask much from the world
Her child fills her heart, with diamonds and pearls
Now she knows true love when she looks in his eyes
They dance and they sing, they?ve learned,? how to fly

They learned how to fly.

Nice song with nice lyrics. Liked the waltz feel and the nice acoustic work!

intro is wayyyyy to long shorten that. I would up the tempo but not much... maybe +5 and if you add a shaker or alternate snare hit. right now the song draaaaaaags. but I like your lyrics cool idea. this song could be 3:15 to 3:30 tops.. one last thing you need a interlude it is all the same over and over.... maybe take take the 3rd verse and change the melody and chords

Lyrics are pretty good and I like the vocal and guitar.

Nice guitar work. Nice sentiments in the lyrics.

The production of this song is excellent. I particularly like the quality of the guitar sound. The voice is a strong and solid voice. The lyrics caught my attention and the hook, "She never knew." is a very good hook. Great job
