Artist is Vu Thu Minh (born September 22, 1977[1]) often known simply as Thu Minh, is a Vietnamese Solo (music)-singer of multiple genres. She is famous for Pop ballad and Dance-pop music, referred as the "Queen of Dance-pop in Vietnam". Thu Minh, was also called as "Vietnam's Celine Dion" in the late 1990s or now as "The wind chime of Vietnam music" due to her famous rare natural soprano C or Spinto soprano singing voice with range from the lowest note D3 to the highest note C#6 (rumor has it with note E6).[2] She was originally a ballet dancer and had not taken any professional musical education before the age of 30. Initially, after winning first prize and being the youngest candidate in a prestigious live singing competition in the Broadcast of Ho Chi Minh at the age of 16, she became well known for the success of many Viet classic songs, pre-war music, love songs in 1954-1975, pop ballad, pop in both English and Vietnamese. She also covered some famous ballads and soul songs of Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and many others. Sometimes, audiences had opportunities to enjoy Thu Minh's performance in soul, opera, jazz, Viet love songs, and Viet folk songs in new versions. In addition, she won the title of "Queen of Dancesport" - the champion - in the show Dancing with the Stars (on Vietnamese TV) (2011). In 2012-13, she had been one of 4 judges/coaches in the hit show The Voice of Vietnam along with Dam Vinh Hung, Ho Ngoc Ha, and Tr?n L?p.
