Story Behind The Song
I co-wrote this song with the lead guitarist in Monro, Andi Turner. We played American Girls at the Marquee in London on only our second gig and were signed to a recording deal after that performance. It ended up being a great song to play in concert and went down a storm on our European tour when we supported Canadian rock star Lee Aaron.
Song Description
American Girls is a patriotic song that captures the essence of California - great music blasting from a Chevy being driven with the top down.

Lyrics
I love, I love, I love American girls
I love, I love, I love American girls
Here she comes again holding her head up high
Alla round she's someone who's found the high life
Crusing into town everyone wants her too
Picke up a phone, come along and join the party
Are you coming out tonight with me
Your daddy's out, let's take a chance on a dance
I love American girls
I love the way they move
I love American girls
I love the way they groove
I love American girls
I love the way the way they move
I love American girls
I love the way they groove
Strutting down the street, everybody says she's a beauty
From the east to the west California's best what a lady
Been waiting for a girl like you to come into my life
Rolling into town on the back seat of a Chevrolet
Repeat chorus
Lead guitar solo
