Lyrics

Gaze no more in the bitter glass
Anger like noisy clouds must pass
For it is whispered over long
Above a land first framed with song
The echoing tones which now arise
Threaten to tear white layered skies
Drawn the thunder blast and rent
sweeping the fields with an ugly scent
O, I dream of you Ireland in rocks and shores
The great north Atlantic and misty moors
In your wild brooks a runnin' my hatred find release In dreams of you Ireland I see you in peace (x2)

Black bitter winds from your own hand capsized the hope of Ireland

Brother to Brother seen as folk this is no way for a man to go.

Rock hardened rim on rim of hate where is the truth you knew of late

Is this nto the vale where Faries stood laughing in Autmn scented wood

O I dream of you Ireland and what you have lost. The hearts of your children will bear the cost

In a time of forgiveness could you some how believe

In Dreams of you Ireland, I see you in peace (x2)

Where have the phantom children gone all bright of eye and sweet of song who sang out to stars to brook and Sun. Teeming with life were Ireland's young

Then hear them calling for Erin men who nobly served to come again

Before times waters surely fall on Ireland's hope and Ireland's fall

O, I dream of you Ireland, the songs you have sung.

Beautiful voices of Gaelic tounge.

May the blessings of ancients rain down upon your seed

My dearest dream Ireland is to know you at peace (x2)
