Story Behind The Song
"Make a Better Day" was written on piano in the late 1980's, as the Iron Curtain was beginning to crumble and events in Eastern Europe promised unrest... The perspective was that of one "looking in" on the turmoil, calling those "inside" to come out, join together, and "make a better day" for themselves and their world.
Song Description
June 2011 critique from leading A&R company TAXI: "...the song lyric's message is a needed one in dissenting times like the ones we are in now. The sense of unity and togetherness is well-communicated via your lyrics. I like the blues style in the music. Vocals are expressive and feature your fine vocal phrasing. Verse and chorus melody lines have strong listener appeal. Good bridge idea that uses the chorus tag with some appealing variations and musical parts. Vocal arrangements are well-crafted. A most uplifting song that I feel will have significant commercial potential and universal appeal. Thanks again for the listening experience..."

Lyrics
Make a Better Day
If ever the time be one... to stand beneath the sun
Holding hands together -- we can pray, we can pray...
Doing all that we can for our fellow man
Together, we can make a, make a better day...
(chorus)
All through the years we've seen nothing but fear
All together, we can make a, make a better day...
And now that the time be one -- so much work to be done!
Together, we can build it, day by day, day by day...
Yeah, we can be one, whose love shines like the sun!
Together, we can make a, make a better day...
(chorus)
Ohhh! Make it better! Day by day, day by day, day by day... Make it better!
Ohhh! Better! Ohhh!!!
(repeat verse and chorus)
