Story Behind The Song
It started out as an idea about an actual TOWN telling a young adult that they will always have a place to come back to, but then I felt it was more powerful to explore "home" as the idea of what a long-term relationship really has to offer people in a chaotic world.
Song Description
This song is a statement of commitment that acknowledges that life isn't always easy and it doesn't always lead us where we thought it would when we were younger. This singer is assuring her/his other half that their love can be the one constant, sure, nurturing thing in life.

Lyrics
?Let Me Be Your Home?
Words & Music by Chuck Larkin (TAXI Member D-2600-1802)
Let me be your home...
Let me be the only place
That?ll never be erased inside your mind...
Let me be your home...
Let me be the secret place
To whisper all the little dreams you?ll never leave behind...
The world is bigger than we thought it was before
And every mile we travel only leads to something more
And it won?t matter where we go
And it won?t matter where we stay
Everything we think we know is gonna change
And it?ll keep on changing everyday
But one thing stays the same
One thing stays the same
But I?ll be with you all along the way if you let me...
Let me be your home...
Let me be the quiet place
You can rest from all the roads you?ve walked so far...
Let me be your home...
Let me be the perfect place
To find out what it means to be the man you really are...*
The world is bigger than we thought it was before
And every mile we travel only leads to something more
And it won?t matter where we go
And it won?t matter where we stay
Everything we think we know is gonna change
And it?ll keep on changing everyday
But one thing stays the same
One thing stays the same
But I?ll be with you all along the way if you let me...
If you let me be your home.
And I know
As far into the distance as I see
I know
It?s always you, always coming home to me...
And it won?t matter where we go
And it won?t matter where we stay
Everything we think we know is gonna change
And it?ll keep on changing everyday
But one thing stays the same
One thing stays the same
But I?ll be with you all along the way if you let me...
If you let me be your home.
(* = alternate gender-free lyric: ?To finally see the miracle of who you really are?)
