Song Description

This is a simple song inspiring women and men to get help and get out of abusive relationships

Story Behind the Song

Hearing all about the abuse of women and these cowardly men who prey on them made me want to write something that would encourage women to get help and get out of these abusive relationships. No one deserves to be abused.

Lyrics

No More
by Charles V. Hayden

Verse 1

I used to care what you were thinking about me
No more, no more
I used to love you over everything and me
No more, no more
I used to walk like a shadow behind you
No more, no more
Now I know that I'm enough and really don't need you
No more, no more

Pre Chorus

Someone reminded me of my worth
And you couldn't
make me value myself
more than I do now

Chorus

I'm sure of who I am without hesitation
No fears inside my head sounding like an echo
My eyes are open now
I can see there is a powerful woman living in me
and it's time for her to come out and just be free

Verse II

I used to please you putting all my dreams aside
No more, no more
I've just done a reset you won't be part of my life
No more, no more

Pre Chorus

Someone reminded me of my worth
And you couldn't make me value myself
more than I do now

Chorus

I'm sure of who I am without hesitation
No fears inside my head sounding like an echo
My eyes are open now
I can see there is a powerful woman living in me
and it's time for her to come out and just be free

Bridge

You don't know who I am
You don't know what love means
You don't care God created women
to be loved for real

(repeat Chorus twice)

Ending

And this woman doesn't need you no more
