Song Description

This is a tune I wrote for my oldest son. I wanted to capture the kind of joy and celebration that only a fiddle can conjure up, while still including elements in the melody that suggest trial and conflict.

Story Behind the Song

I wrote this song as a tribute to my oldest son. While growing up with an autoimmune disorder has created a world of limits and boundaries for him, his incredible personality and spirit always seem to rise above these limitations and show us that joy and character are not the out workings of our circumstance or environment. They are a choice! A choice he demonstrates so well in all his trials!
