Lyrics

Destiny

Words & Music: Carmine Arizona

Hello! How are you my friend?
It's been so long since you know when
and I just called to hear your voice again.

Now I must admit I miss your smile,
And I'd sure like to reconcile,
So let's get together for a while

Maybe we could stroll along the beach, Skimming stones in water knee deep,
A picnic in the park under a tree: I do believe it's our Destiny!

Lately, I've been thinking 'bout the time we met,
And all those crazy things I said
And how I tried to get you in bed.

Girl I'm sorry if I hurt you now,
But I had one too many rounds,
Now I would like to make it up somehow:

We could settle down, just you and me, Put down some roots, start a family
A place where we could live so happily, I do believe it's our Destiny!

Nothing could ever come between the two of us,
You can call it fate, I think it must be fate,
You can have most anyone, but that's not the point,
The point is you love me, and baby I love you....

So, I hope you'll have a change of heart,
even if Men are from Mars,
''Cause I would like to make a brand new start,"

And now it's time to say goodbye,
My phone card's running out of time
So tell me that you'll keep an open mind....

Let's leave the past where it be, The present is a gift for you and me,
The future looks bright as far as I can see: I do believe it's our Destiny!
I do believe.....
Anyway, I hope you get this message.......

A nice country pop song, which tells a simple story of aspiration. Well done!

Well-constructed/arranged song with some really nice touches throughout--I listened twice. Has a bit of a folk feel in the sound, melody, and mix. Great ending. A lot to like about this tune. The vocal was perhaps the weakest part, although not bad--just a little off pitch at moments. If you're an artist, I'd say keep singing; if not, consider hiring a pro singer to better sell the song in the marketplace. Congrats on this accomplishment!

Nice band sound. A 1960's feel to the song. Pretty decent vocal, the long notes are held well. Good solid ending to the chorus 2nd time. There is a spacious feel to the overall mix, good instrument panning which allows all the instruments to come through clearly.
