SANTA CLAUS'S HELPER

He's a hard-working, everyday trucker
With a wife, 2 kids, 3 dogs and 18 wheels
But there's a magical transformation
That comes in mid-December every year

From the grey skies to the sunshine
From the beaches and the palm trees to the snow
He pulls up to each loading dock
Hollering, "Merry Christmas, Ho, ho ho!"

He's got antlers tied to the front grill
Decked with Jingle bells
The trailer's trimmed with blinkin' lights
And he's singing' Christmas carols
He'll double clutch, put the hammer down
And roll on out of sight

Is Santa Claus's helper tonight

He delivers a load to Detroit
Bicycles, toy drums and princess dolls,
then backhauls back to Memphis
with Barbies, baby blocks, 'n bouncing balls

Two familiar little voices
Say "Break 1-9, what's your 20, Daddy?"
He says, "Don't you worry good buddies
I'll be home just in time for Christmas Eve!"
