Song Description

The song reflects the very real frustration of a woman who truly loves the man who just betrayed her. She is angry, but also upset about him ruining the relationship. The sentiment is very much like Taylor Swift's "You Could've Said No." But this woman is a lot madder!

Story Behind the Song

I, the author, lived through this in a really terrible relationship. The man was the best everything, but he just wouldn't be faithful. It was horrible! And I am still that angry! But what a shame. When I sing this song live, all the men start out the door, and all the women sing along with me and cheer!

VERSE 1,2:

You come in with your sorry eyes,
Telling the truth about your lies
Unloading all your guilt, I see
About how you've been cheatin' on me

As I watch the tears stream down your face
I remember us in a better place
You've confessed your sins, that's true
And you think I should stay with you

But I've got another point of view
And here's what I want you to do,

Go away, go far, go back to the bar,
Go to hell, go blind, go crazy,
Go on, get gone don't take too long
This is no time to get lazy
Later on I might shed a tear,
But right now, I want you out of here - Just go. Just go.

Don't stay here another minute
You're a nightmare with me in it
Nothin you do will ever excuse it
You better leave before I lose it

You better leave, I'm warning you
Or I'll warn you again when you come to.

Did you really think I'd forgive you?
If I'm not enough, baby, then we're through
Plenty of men want a woman like me
And they're not as weak as you turned out to be.

Coda: And don't come back!
