Toward the end of his life when Louis came to my college in Oregon to perform, I got to interview him. When I asked him how he had lost so much weight he gave me a diet chart and a pack of "Swiss Kriss Laxative." He said, "my secret is you eat whatever you want then take this Swiss Kriss and flush it right through you, heh, heh, heh. He said, "when I play high I think low and when I play low I think high but the important thing is not to think too much. It's like playing pool, you don't want to think too much." It was a thrill to visit with him.
