Story Behind The Song

My initial idea was that anyone can carry a tune by picking it up and putting it in their pocket, so I had the hook first and built on the concept from there. I wanted a lazy, Sunday afternoon stroll kind of feel and once the melody settled I started to refine the lyric. I think this song would work well in an animated movie.

Song Description

Songs are so closely associated with memories of a person, time or place. We pick up songs and carry them around for life and they often govern our moods. I wanted to remind the listener that music plays such a huge part in our lives.
