Song Description

FUN SONG ABOUT SUPPOSED OUTLAW IN THE OLD WEST

Story Behind the Song

TITO HAD AN UNUSUAL CRAVING FOR FRITOS WHICH TURNED HIM INTO AN OUTLAW KNOWN AS "TITO THE FRITO BANDITO"

Lyrics

IN THE TOWN OF TOLEDO, LIVED A YOUNG BOY NAMED TITO, AND HE

WAS A GOOD BOY BY DAY. BUT AT NIGHT LITTLE TITO AND HIS HORSE HE

CALLED SPEEDO WOULD QUIETLY RIDE AWAY. AS THE SUN WOULD GO

DOWN THEY?D RIDE INTO TOWN ?CAUSE HE HAD A HUNGER TO FEED, AND

THE PEOPLE IN STORES WOULD BE LOCKIN? THEIR DOORS, THEY FEARED

TITO AND HIS FIERY STEED.

HIS IDEA OF HEAVEN WAS A 7-11 WITH FRITOS ON EVERY SHELF. UP AND

DOWN ALL THE AISLES, HIS FACE WAS ALL SMILES, AND HE QUICKLY

HELPED HIMSELF. BEFORE THEY COULD GRAB HIM HE?D HOP ON HIS NAG

AND TITO WOULD FLY AWAY. HE?D MUNCH AND HE?D CRUNCH THROUGH

DINNER AND LUNCH AND HE?D GO BACK THE VERY NEXT DAY.

WILD STORIES ARE TOLD ?BOUT THE OUTLAWS OF OLD BUT OF TITO

THERE?S NARY A TRACE. IN AND OUT SO QUICK, THAT WAS HIS TRICK, SO

NO ONE GOT A LOOK AT HIS FACE. FOR MANY A YEAR STOREKEEPERS

DID FEAR, THE FRITO BANDITO IT?S SAID, BUT THEN HE QUIT RIDIN?? WAS

HE IN HIDIN?? OR MAYBE OLD TITO WAS DEAD.

THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER WAS TITO GOT FATTER FROM ALL OF THOSE

FRITOS HE ATE, AND SPEEDO SAID NO! ON MY BACK YOU CAN?T GO TILL

YOU LOSE A WHOLE LOT OF WEIGHT. INTO HISTORY THEY FADE, NO MORE

GLORY DAYS, BUT I SWEAR THAT THIS STORY IS TRUE. TITO WORKS

DAILY AT BARNUM AND BAILY, AND SPEEDO WAS MADE INTO GLUE.
