Song Description

This songs dreaming of ways to travel with a loved one as a "pocketman." It creatively smilles at the thought of folding oneself into a pocket and slipping right in to travel on a jet-plane ride with someone you don't want to see go. It is purposefully gender neutral to portray true love and longing in both homosexual and heterosexual relationships.

Story Behind the Song

The song was written when my significant other took a trip and I wanted to go. I made the comment that I wish I could fold myself up into her pocket and go with her, and so the concept of going on this jet plane ride in the "right front pocket" next to a "locket" was born... the song came thereafter

Lyrics

She?s got a pocket man,
Keeps her love in her hand.
Folds him up and sticks him right in,
She?s back on that plane again,
but this time she?s got her pocket man.

In her right front pocket,
She holds a locket.
Pocket man rests right beside it.
Jump right in and realize that he?s on it.

Gonna fold myself and slip right in...
Jet-plane ride with you again?
I?m gonna be your Pocket man.

And she?s back on a plane, and
Singin that way, but
They don?t know what she hides.
He?s in heart and he?s in her mind,
And that?s one place they?ll never find.
I don?t wanna leave you.
Please take me with you.
Let me try to slip inside.
Any pocket you got.
Let?s take a shot.
At least we can say we tried.

I wanna fold myself and slip right in...
Jet plane ride with you again?
I?m gonna be your Pocket man..

He?s got a pocket man,
Keeps his love in her hand.
Folds him up and sticks him right in,
He?s back on that plane again,
But this time he?s got his pocket man.

I can bear the folds,
And fit almost any mold.
Just clap your hands and say lets go.
I?m ready to go around the world,
And be your pocketman.

Gonna fold myself and slip right in...
Jet plane ride with you again.

And I prayed to God that she?d fall in love; deeply, madly, uncontrollably. But I find that I?m the one who?s falling in love; deeply, madly, uncontrollably.

Gonna fold myself into your pocket,
Gonna ride your train gonna be your rocket.
Gonna be your pocket-man.
