Lyrics

Funky Hideaway
Bill Gaunce

Here's my private invitation
To a little celebration
No need to RSVP- no

Don't worry bout your hair
Cause there ain't no one to care
Baby It's just you and me

We're gonna freak in the creek
Romp in the swamp
Holiday, sleep all day
In my funky hideaway

Cozy little shack
C'mon around back
Watch out the spiders and the snakes
They don't wanna eat cha
They only wanna greet cha
Don't worry for goodness sakes

We're gonna freak in the creek
Romp in the swamp
Holiday, maybe sleep all day
In my funky hideaway

Hop in your car
It's not too far
But leave when the tide is low
Follow the moon
That shines on the lagoon
It'll show you the way to go

We're gonna romp in the swamp
Freak in the creek
Have a holiday, sleep all day
In my funky hideaway
In my funky hideaway
Funky hideaway

Catchy, fun, interesting and very creative way of expressing as a potential pick up line or maybe the 2nd or 3rd time hangin, but lyrics are brilliantly pieced together. Music definitely suggests funk, but feels more close to blues, can't really go wrong either direction. Guitar licks were also cool the way placed with the beat.

This song is really cool I like the groove

Fun and entertaining piece with a good funky beat and really cool instrumentation.
