Song Description

Black crows running wild

Broadjam Member Reviews

Sounds like Dylan meets the Stones meets the Velvet Underground and really rocks in that 1960's loose blues , slightly psychedelic style, Great tune, ragged but cool piano and guitar, actually sounds like it was recorded around 1966 or 67.

Lyrics

Driving to Forever
In a beat up Chevrolet
We both were wondering whether
We would ever find the way

Stopped outsdide of Flaherty
gave two boys a ride
Both of them were scaring me
Pulled you close by my side

But you let go a haymaker
and put out both their lights
by the time they found the breaker
we were well out of their sights

We were almost
We were almost
We were almost there

Nearly made it to the border
Be in forever before the night
when the local law and order
turned on those flashing lights

Forever was just beyond
that garish barricade
Flaherty too close behind
Guess we give up the plans we made

But you let go a haymaker
and put out both their lights
by the time they found the breaker
we were well out of their sights

We were almost
We were almost
We were almost there
