Song Description

This is a song about appreciating diversity, and realizing that the world is most beautiful when we are all living our lives as our truest selves, and that we all need to be accepting of each other, with all our beautiful quirks.

Story Behind the Song

This song just started with the groove - then the first line fell out of my mouth "It just occured to me that everybody here is f*%&in' crazy, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't kinda like it that way." It make me realize that I am surrounded by some really creative types in my life & that they are some of the goofiest people I know, but I absolutely love it.

Lyrics

Big Bright Beautiful World

It just occurred to me
That everybody here is f#$%in' crazy, yeah
But I'd be lying if I said I didn't kinda like it that way
'Cuz I'm just a little more than just a little quirky
And I guess that I could change it
But it's workin' for me so far
If you're contemplating camouflaging imperfection
Honey, show me who you are

I just wanna be me, you just gotta be you
We'll be living in a big bright beautiful world
Gonna do my thing, you can do what you do now
Living in a big bright beautiful world

It just occurred to me
That everybody's gonna kick it one day, yeah
So don't you waste your time
Believing that you gotta find the one way
Can't think about a single thing to over-think about
I get myself in trouble when I'm living inside my mind
Gonna dance around the world
Until they kick me out....
For singin', so let your freak flag fly

Repeat chorus

Let's make a scene, let's stir it up
Let's break it down, let's try to live and love
Let's strip it off, let's tear it out
Let's turn it up, wanna feel it now
Oh yeah, it just occurred to me now
That everybody here is crazy

I just wanna be free, to do what I do now
Living in a big bright beautiful world
Gonna shake my thing, you can shake it too now
Living in a big bright beautiful world
