Lyrics
The Attic
Our attic is a heck of a place?
There?s so much more than extra space?
In the winter it?s cold?In the summer it?s hot?
It may seem small?but it sure holds a lot of memories?
On the north side?right along the wall?
Is the bunk bed we slept in when we were small.
And in the corner?lies a Christmas tree?
It was artificial?but it was so good to me?.
There?s a toy box filled with G.I. Joes?
My sister?s Barbie Dolls and my brother?s old clothes
There?s a lawn chair and a water ski?
And roller skates that still fit me?
We got letter-jackets, tennis rackets, fishing poles?
Horse saddles, boat paddles, kitchen bowls?
Lawn chairs, road maps and magazines?
And eight-track tapes that belong to me?
Our attic is a heck of a place?
There?s so much more than extra space?
In the winter it?s cold?In the summer it?s hot?
It may seem small?but it sure holds a lot of memories?
That old attic?has held its share? of memories?through the years?
Every thing we?ve owned?And all we?ve loved?
Sits in that attic under one light bulb?
