Story Behind The Song
My paternal grandfather left my grandmother when my father was only about seven or eight,
coming back after thirty-odd years, broke and broken. And my maternal grandfather, who was one of my best friends, lost his wfe to the grave when i was about eight years old.
So, one could say that this song is based upon
wishful thinking, or what might have been.
now it's my turn to be a grandpa and it is very enjoyable, being able to show them that i love their grandmother, who i have been one with for thirty-six yeas and counting to forever.

walking hand in hand
you should see them walking down the street
walking hand in hand
and they're smiling with each other
as they walking hand in hand
so i asked them what their secet is
that's kept them through the years
yes i asked them what their secret is
that's kept them through the years
so they looked at me and smiled

and then she looked again at me

i saw two old people face to face sharing something with their

i saw tow young lovers eye to eye giving to themselves each other's lives
but they never let me know why they love each other so
and that's why i gotta sing song one more time
