Song Description

The writer tries to capture the rapturous feeling of a grandchild observing his grandmother and grandmother having fun togerther and enjoying one another's company. In other words, looking at love and affection in action. Such a thing is becoming rare

Story Behind the Song

My paternal grandfather left my grandmother when my father was only about seven or eight, coming back after thirty-odd years, broke and broken. And my maternal grandfather, who was one of my best friends, lost his wfe to the grave when i was about eight years old. So, one could say that this song is based upon wishful thinking, or what might have been. now it's my turn to be a grandpa and it is very enjoyable, being able to show them that i love their grandmother, who i have been one with for thirty-six yeas and counting to forever.

Lyrics

1 and CHORUS
i dont know why my grandpa love my grandma so
i say i don't know why my grandpa love my grandma so
and they've been living together for fifty years now

2
you should see them walking down the street
walking hand in hand
you should see them walking down the street
walking hand in hand
and they're smiling with each other
as they walking hand in hand
so i asked them what their secet is
that's kept them through the years
yes i asked them what their secret is
that's kept them through the years
so they looked at me and smiled
and here is what they did for me
INSTRUMENTAL PART

3
now my grandma looked at my grandpa
and then she looked again at me
and then my grandpa smiled at my grandma
and he said"should we make him see?"
and then they put their heads together and asked me
what did I see
i saw two old people face to face sharing something with their
eyes
i saw tow young lovers eye to eye giving to themselves each other's lives
but they never let me know why they love each other so
and that's why i gotta sing song one more time
so
