Story Behind The Song
Recorded at Record Plant Studios in New York City 1971 when John Lennon and Yoko Uno were recording strings on the Imagin record. Lou Reed was also in the studio at the time. Bert called me at about 1:00 in the morning and said hey I've got some rythym tracks for this song could you come into the city (from Jersey) and do a vocal. I went in, listened to the tracks a few times and wrote out the lyrics and sung a few versions. Bert combined two leads to get the result. Enjoy.

Lyrics
Give me a house of steel and a place that is real to me.
With the firery winds from the sky to roll back the sea.
Keep me safe and sound on solid ground is all I need.
Safe and sound Move around and round as far as I can see
Safe and sound like the sun up in the sky shinning down on me.
Keep me free from pain when I can't hold my tears within
and the rivers run were my dreams have always been
Make me safe and sound on solid ground is all I need.
Safe and sound like the sun up in the sky shinnin down on me.
