Song Description

This suspenseful soundtrack piece sets up a mysterious and chilling mood in the introduction and carries it through into the opening chorus. Latin guitar melodies dance delicately over an unconventional dance-hall beat. The verses release tension with variations in the chord progression and rhythm pattern. The song climaxes in the interlude with over-driven guitar shots and drops off cleanly back into the hypnotizing drums and strings to conclude the song.

Story Behind the Song

The world we exist in is governed by the forces of good and evil. This song is about the manifestation of those evil forces: Dark spirits, ghosts, demons; whatever you wish to call them. As a child I was told not to be afraid because there wasn?t a monster to be found in the closet. And then as an adolescent I came to realize the monsters indeed weren?t in the closet. They were in fact everywhere and nowhere at the same time, thriving on fear, terror, pain and death. This song was my triumph over the wickedness that continues to plague this world.
