Song Description

This song is about a couple who fell in love, but their relationship began to fall apart a few years down the road. Both people were hurting and feeling like everything was telling them that the relationship was over. The man decided that he's going to do what he had to do to keep his woman....compromise, giving in, swallowing his pride, and begging her to stay. He couldn't live his life without his girl. She meant so much to him.

Story Behind the Song

Two people that were in love started to break apart. The girl meant so much to the man that he wanted to keep the relationship together. He was willing to do anything to keep their love together. Like I said, she meant so much to him.

Lyrics

Verse 1
Seems like our lives
Two years ago
Falling in love
Had us spinning
Out of control
Nothing to do
But grab the rails
It's not the first time
But the last
As far as well can tell
Now we've come to a place
They didn't expect us to be
Baby, baby
How can we be surprised
No one said that it would be easy
And nothing is guaranteed
So

Pre-Chorus
We both know only love
Can keep you
From walking out that door
So turn around
Can't you see that
I'm breaking down
I can't live my life
If you're not comin' 'round

Hook
You've got me down on my knees
And we've got so much to see
I need you to believe
That you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby
I know that some things have changed
But we can withstand the rain
And then we'll fight through the pain
Cause you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby

Verse 2
You're hurt inside
I'm hurting inside
It tears me up
To see you cry
I know you're terrified
It's so damn hard
To rise above
You compromise
I'm giving in
And it still feels like it's not enough
When every sign
Is telling us
That it's the end of the road
Baby, baby
We have to trust in fate
And find the strength
To try and hold on
And know that we're not alone
Cause we both know that love is
Asking us to give a little more
So take these walls full of doubt
Scream out loud
Tear them down
We can build them back up
If we can stick it out

Hook
You've got me down on my knees
And we've got so much to see
I need you to believe
That you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby
I know that some things have changed
But we can withstand the rain
And then we'll fight through the pain
Cause you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby

Drop
Right now you've got that special someone
And she's trying to walk out that door
But what you're gonna have to do
Is swallow your pride
And beg her to stay
Because if you don't
You're gonna regret,
I promise

Pre-Chorus
We both know only love
Can keep you from
Walking out that door
So turn around
Can't you see
That I'm breaking down
I can't live my life
If you're not around

Hook
You've got me down on my knees
And we've got so much to see
I need you to believe
That you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby
(These walls are coming down
All around us babe...yeah)
I know that some things have changed
But we can withstand the rain
And then we'll fight through the pain
Cause you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby

Hook
You've got me down on my knees
And we've got so much to see
I need you to believe
That you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby
I know that some things have changed
But we can withstand the rain
And then we'll fight through the pain
Cause you mean so much to me
(To me)
To me
(To me)
To me baby
