Green Mountain State of Mind
Verse #1
Well the day i started to worry, was the day i started doing time. I got to break away, from the mistakes i made, or else i'm gonna lose my mind. so i opened my eyes to wonder and wise, Lord, i know theres got to be a better way, so i broke the chains, of all the crazy things, that kept me institutionalized.
Hey bartender, pour me a double, no i won't give you any trouble. ya see, i live in my own little bubble, i'm in a green mountain state of mind.
chorus:
I'm in a green mountain state of mind
i'm in a green mountain state of mind
I'm in the green mountain where everything is fine
I'm in a green mountain state of mind.
Verse #2
Now me and my lady had to see our new grandbaby, we tried to walk three thousand miles. from the southern appalachians to the northeast kingdom, it was worth seeing all the smiles. the grandpa's on the getting the harvest done up at the "little by little" farm, the grandma's and mommas are chasing around, little baby benjamin. now daddy's off to work to make a little money. it hurts to leave his heart behind. theres no need to worry, there's no need to hurry, he sings a green mountain state of mind.
Chorus...
The people up here are so nice to me it' like one big family. we don't stress ourselves over the simple mess, it's gonna be, what it's gonna be. i'd like to share some advice because we don't go around twice, our neighbors motto is "Live Free or Die"! so what i do, i stop and enjoy the view, maybe i'll see you on the other side.
Sooo, hey bartender pour me a double, no i won't give you any trouble. ya see, i live in my own little bubble, i'm in a green mountain state of mind.
Chorus...
