Song Description

Look after the earth as it feeds us. We keep taking from her without putting something back its like all things. BANG the end.

Story Behind the Song

I woke up one morning with the chorus melody clearly in my head. I wrote it down immediately and the song came out very soon after that. At the time I was playing a lot with a buddy who is an active environmentalist, with lots of discussions on capitalism verses (the great unknown) He obviously had an effect on my thinking.

Lyrics

Its not so hard
Its really not too hard
With a little loving we can do anything

In my life I have struggled with this thinking
This unrelenting feeling
That what I have is not enough
And now I find
I must stop believing
Believing in someone else's state of mind

If we all continue this course of action
Continue with this seduction
of our hearts
Then we may fall
Fall into oblivion
Even with all the millions in the world

This world has had enough
We've been too rough
We've treated her like a never ending horn of plenty
And she needs some time to breath
And if we haven't learned to love ourselves
At least lets love the earth instead
And find a way to keep going without destroying everything

We must fight
Fight for our survival
Before she has her reprisal
And we trip into darkness
This type of war is not fought with guns and fire
But a changing of desire for more and more and more

We must change
Change our way of living always leaving something
For her when we are gone
'Cos we were wrong
wrong to think that the only
Way is making money
Regardless of everything
