Song Description
This song was written many years ago and forgotten. Dave Jenneson, the lyricist, and I decided to rewrite it. We had forgotten the verse and lyrics - only the chorus and title remained. It turned out to be the last song I wrote with
Dave as he died soon after. Eerily he predicts his own funeral in the last verse.

Lyrics
BLUE TELEGRAM
Last night I gave you a letter
Today the letter's burned
I swear I've never tried so hard
For so little in return
I don't our love to end
But all you ever send
Is a blue blue telegram
I thought you were my friend
Blue telegram (you're always sending my these blue telegrams)
I thought you were
I thought you were my friend
Blue telegram (you're always sending my these blue telegrams)
I thought you were
I thought you were my friend
No answer when I call you
So I took walk downtown
If I can't see you one more time
I'll jump in the river and drown
So I'm callling you again
Why does it always end
In a blue blue telegram
I thought you were my friend
CHORUS
They dressed me up in a brand new suit
And they laid my body down
I looked so fine on my funeral day
And still you won't come around
Now it's too late to pretend
Here it comes again
It's your blue blue telegram
I thought you were my friend
CHORUS
You're always sending me these blue telegrams
I thought you were my friend
You're always sending me these blue telegrams
I thought you were my friend
