Office Job Blues - Instrumental

Story Behind The Song

This is an instrumental arrangement of a song that was inspired by a year?s work as a clerk in a Government office.

Song Description

This bright, toe-tapping Blues Brothers style instrumental opens with a slick acoustic guitar and tenor saxophone lick. The melody and chorus are alternately given by acoustic guitar, sax and flute as are solos around the verses and choruses. An acoustic bass drives the rhythm with a catchy motif, whilst the guitar stabs on the beat with staccato chords. A brush drum kit with an accentuated hi-hat keeps the whole ensemble in line.
