Story Behind The Song
"Lebanon", is my first single. It is a song I wrote about the political freedom currently emerging in my native country. "The song sounds like what it felt like to live there as a child during the war".
Song Description
This song, about freedom, political independence and respect for religious diversity, expresses a myriad of thoughts and emotions: sadness for the 25 years of fighting a senseless war among themselves, hopeful of change as the people carry flags for freedom and excitement about Lebanon reclaiming itself again. Her heart sings this song and mine sings too as I listen. The Arabic after feels genuine and emotionally deep.

Lyrics
I see a change coming on,
a wave of a new generation has begun
where there once was no unity now lies prosperity
the sound of the street voices survive with glory
carrying flags up in the sky for you and I, for you and I
Used to be, our sons and daughters
fought a senseless war amongst themselves
and had you asked me then why this was so
my reply would have been, I just don?t know
They sought freedom and thought it was the will of God
Lebanon, my heart sings out for you
Carry on, this time it?s finally true for you and I
Paris of the Middle East
churchbells and prayers from the minerates
sounds like, Lebanon
Lebanon, my heart sings out for you
Carry on, this time it?s finally true
Land where the cedars grow and mountains meet the sea
My country tis of thee
Lebanon, my heart sings out for you
Carry on, this time it?s finally true for you and I, for you and I?
