I met an old friend on a lonely shore. We vowed to be friends then forevermore. We strolled the golden strand. He took my waiting hand in lovely friendship I was yearning for. We watched the red sun set. Meanwhile he held me tight. Enthralled we lingered yet till past the late twilight. THe tide rose high on land. Stars sparkled in the sand. The breeze went through the trees and sang soft melodies. Then he embraced me while the stars shone bright and kissed my lips. That's when my heart took flight over the pale moonbeams.
