Very current/contemporary Pop song! You have a great handle on your genre. Lyrics and arrangement are top notch. Love the breakdown/bridge. Vocals are current and great and fit right in with the current artists in this genre. Harmonies and ad-libs are creative. Very place-able track. Could be used in Film/TV/Ads or and artist pitch....or even a hit as it is. Best of luck with this song - the success that comes from this will be well deserved.

Just Another Day
Music & Lyrics by Adam Avery

Verse 1
My Monday starts at 6AM
Still tired from the weekend
You know how it goes
Been workin' here for way too long
Even when it's right, it's wrong
And nobody knows

Pre-chorus 1
I'm just a cog in this machine here
I don't want to be here
But I gotta pay the rent somehow
I need someone to remind me
Something to find me
Before it's too late and I can't get out

I won't give up without a fight
This dead end has become my friend
I gotta break away
I don't even know
Where I'm supposed to go
But it's crystal clear
I won't find it here
I gotta fly away

Verse 2
My boss he doesn't know my name
This cubicle is way too plain
Surrounded by grey
Spent the morning planning my escape
But my excuse is 2nd rate
So I gotta stay

Pre-chorus 2
I can't go on like this much longer
Why can't I be stronger
And find the courage to climb my way out
I need someone to remind me
Something to find me
Because this isn't what my life's about

I still dream when I close my eyes
One day I'll wake up
And take off this disguise
