Song Description

In the shadows is a song that was written for film or tv depicting feelings associated with the fear of the unknown. This multi segmented song is design to transition. The thyme is confronting oneself by facing fears moving threw the shadows of yourself.

Story Behind the Song

I live with autonomic dysreflexia AD due to a severe incomplete spinal cord injury from a peacetime assault in 1977 while serving in the Army. The winter of 2009 and 2010 were very bad. Vegal nerve heart attack, paralysis and the stroke to the left lung. Iwas 50 and 51. Took me 7 months to retrain to sing again. AD had damaged the parasympathetic sympathetic nervous systems. It is the same as altitude climbers or deep sea divers going threw the Benz. for me when the wind blew, a storm come in signals cant go threw my spine at 3/4 displacement and my nerve start to short circuit, causing systems failure like the benz from pressure shifts. In the shadows was were I was, at the mercy of God and the 4 Winds. I was facing my own fear. FYI 95% of doctors will miss AD diagnosis unless they are specializing in spinal cord injury. It is exclusive to SCI spinal cord injury and ISCI incomplete spinal cord injury.

Lyrics

In the Shadow
Nothing is clear
In the shadow
Fear becomes fear

The night eyes pierce deep inside my soul.
There is no disguising all truth is told.
Then in the shadow
all becomes clear.
in the shadow
I'm my worst fear
In the shadows
me and my shadow are one
in the shadows
me and my shadow are one
in the shadow
Me and my shadow are one.
me and my shadow are one.
me and my shadow are one.
In the shadow
I look in the mirror
in the shadow.
