Song DescriptionBeing young and growing up in a small town.
Story Behind the SongI just went to my HS reunion and met up with friends I hadn't seen or heard from in many years. None of us came from overly affluent families and honestly, we never even knew or cared. I guess in part because we were all too busy just being kids. Playing outside in the fresh Florida air enjoying gods original X box, "The Beach"
I was simply inspired to write something that captured the essence of being young again and growing up in a much different and simpler time. Growing up in a Little Town.

like the intro guitar, kinda like the "telephone" vocal intro, different for sure.

Lyrics
We grew up in a little town, where crickets made the loudest sounds, we never knew about the things we didn't have.
Headed to the PDQ, on our bicycles right after school, we always had a little bit of change to spend.
Small towns are a part of me, still the only place where I can breathe...
Chasing all the fireflies at night, laughing with the friends I'd share for life, even though I'm not around, my heart can still be found... in a little town..
Friday night the marching band, takes the grassy field in front of the stands, a little bit of winter hiding in the air...
People huddle close to keep warm, while the younger generation performs, an illustration of the world and how it should be..
Small towns are a part of me, still the only place where I can breathe...
Chasing all the fireflies at night, laughing with the friends I'd share for life, even though I'm not around, my heart can still be found... in a little town....
chasing all the fireflies at night,(a million miles away from home and everyday I believe).. laughing with the friends I'd share for life, (that someday I'd be back and living in the place I would leave)..even though I'm not around, my heart can still be found... in a little town...
