Maybe It's Just Moonbeams

Story Behind The Song

Sometimes two people, at first meeting, experience a strong romantic attraction to each other that is unmistakable and yet impractical and at the same time inconvenient. One or both are already in a serious relationship rendering the attraction hopeless. While the mystifying attraction wasn't intentional or explainable it's also unshakable and foretells inevitable heartbreak.

Song Description

Where DOES love come from? Especially that "love-at-first-sight" variety when eyes meet and souls are locked in a romantic connection whether or not it suits societal norms, whether or not it's a practical/acceptable situation. Is anyone to blame for the irresistible attraction? Let's blame it on the moon: "Maybe It's Just Moonbeams."

Lyrics

Maybe It's Just Moonbeams
By Marie Jarreau/Kris Baldwin 2-28-2014

Nobody knows just how love comes to be
I sure don't know how this one came to me

When I first looked into his eyes
I fell heart-first deep into his smile
Now I can't break free
It's not my fault you see
Maybe it's just moonbeams, Maybe it's just moonbeams ~
*Instrumental break*

Nobody knows just how love takes your heart
It's a mystery to me, it's a work of art
Everybody wants it
Everybody needs it
But maybe it's just moonbeams, Maybe it's just moonbeams ~

When I first looked into his eyes
I fell heart-first deep into his smile
Now I can't break free
It's no one's fault you see
Maybe it's just moonbeams, Maybe it's just moonbeams ~

*Instrumental break*

Nobody knows just how love breaks your will
It's a mystery to me that lingers still
Everybody wants it
Everybody needs it
But maybe it's just moonbeams, Maybe it's just moonbeams ~

Maybe it's just moonbeams

Nice voice and recording. Nice sound especially on the classical guitar. This to me is a very nice atmospheric song that would play well in a restaurant or shopping mall. I DO mean this as a complement.
