V1:
Some people are born with it, while others may get bored with it.
To some it seems to come so naturally.
I don't know if I learned it, or maybe I have earned it.
I guess it doesn't matter anyway.
V2:
Music is a dream, that certain people have.
And they can turn it into something real.
'Cos music is a gift, that only certain people get.
While others may just think that it's no big deal.

Chorus:
Well, I was given the gift of music.
And it's always been a big part of my life.
Given the gift of music.
And now I'm giving that gift to you.

V3:
Well music, it can make you happy, and sometimes it can make you cry.
That makes it such a special part of your life.
Bringing back those memories, sometimes you can't recall.
Music seems to bring it back to mind.
V4:
If you should be so lucky, to have that special gift.
Don't ever let it slip away.
So use that special talent, and put your feelings in a song.
'Cos the music won't forget just what you say.

Chorus:
Well, I was given that gift of music.
And it's always been a big part of my life.
Given the gift of music.
And now I'm giving that gift to you...
(giving that gift to you .... giving the gift of music)

Well constructed soft rock/acoustic song. Lyrics fit well with the soft flowing melody. I like the addition of the synth strings later in the song, adds depth and supports the song structure well. Well done and well put together.

I liked the idea of sharing about your gift of music and making a song about it. I liked the lyrics a lot and you sang them very well. It was a nice easy listening song that could crossover into several different generes. It had a bit of a southern rock and country vibe to it. It was a very pleasant song. Nice job with it.

i liked this song. it has a good feel to it. nice laid back style to begin with. very harmony driven.has a bit of a eagles vibe to it. the strings were interesting and sounded good.

Nice flow, seems like it's from the 70's...Bob Denver feel. :)

- Nice tight harmonies man.
- Great message in the lyrics, pretty relatable among all musicians I'm sure haha.
