Rest In The Arms of The Lamb

Story Behind The Song

I wanted to write a song based on Psalm 23 and had this little finger-style figure I was playing with. I felt that 6/8 feel gave it just the feeling I was going for, especially during the line "dance by the waters". This one is a little more flowing and epic in its arrangement than a lot of my others. But I find that when I perform the song, people want to hang out with it for a while.

Song Description

Lyrics

VERSE:
You are my good shepherd, my cup overflows
You lead me to pastures of green
Your wisdom and love are my joy and my comfort
I follow wherever you lead

And when danger would come to destroy me
I will trust in my shepherd to save me

CHORUS:
I am surrounded by your goodness
And I rest in the palm of your hand
You have led me to dance by the waters
And rest in the arms of the Lamb
