Hurricane

Story Behind The Song

I was inspired by a friends struggle to deal with negative press about him. The metaphor of him sailing into a storm was one of my memories of him that i had from when i was a child. I needed to draw strength at the time and this memory and the struggles he had been through helped and inspired me.

Lyrics

Helplessly stuck
Hopeless and unglued
I'm living in
A catch twenty two

Every where I turn
Every road i'm on
They dismantle me
and I break down
I break down

Ground down by it
Land locked and confused
Time to take off
Get away from you

Gonna spread my wings
Gonna raise my game
set my sail break away
On my way
On my way

I see you out upon the river with an open mind
You're taking on the wind and rain
I see you taking on adversity well I'm with you
N' sail in to the hurricane

Pick one point or
Pick one star or two
Miss plot your line
Miss adventure through

Take a little nip
Take a little trip
Take one more little bit to get me

On my way
On my way

I see you out upon the river with an open mind
You're taking on the wind and rain
I see you taking on adversity well I'm with you
N' sail in to the hurricane

Helplessly stuck
Hopeless and unglued
I'm living in
A catch twenty two

Take a little nip
Take a little trip
Take one more little bit to get me
On my way
On my way
